Mounted at the end of the arm, the end effector is the tool that interacts directly with objects or processes. Depending on the task, it may be a gripper, welding torch, screwdriver, paint gun, suction cup or other specialized device. End effectors can often be changed quickly to support multiple tasks on a single robot.
